On February 17, 2019 The Avalon Foundation was featured as the non-profit of the night at the Toledo Walleye hockey game! After a search of local non-profits in the Toledo area (and there are so many great ones here!), a Walleye representative came across The Avalon Foundation. They were impressed by our kid-lead and kid-driven focus in helping others who live with rare disease and offered us the chance to be highlighted at a hockey game! We were honored to be chosen! With the support of Huntington Insurance and our Board of Directors, the kc4k Advisory Board of kids and their families were treated to tickets to the game to thank them for all of their hard work and dedication over the past 2 years. Throughout the day, social media posts about The Avalon Foundation occurred, At the game that evening, we were featured on the announcements as a special treat and the kc4k Advisory Board kiddos were all able to take a ride on the FanBoni! What a great experience and a great way to let our community know about The Avalon Foundation and all of the amazing things kids at any age can do!
